Guwahati, 15th October: In a bizarre incident that unfolded near the Tezpur Sadar police station, a police officer, allegedly inebriated and unruly, created chaos on the highway, leaving onlookers in shock. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, just days before the auspicious Mahalaya festival.
Eyewitnesses reported that the officer was seen holding a bottle of alcohol in his hand, exhibiting rude behavior near a liquor shop far from the police station.
Despite attempts to take shelter behind a car, eventually collapsed on the highway, causing a dangerous obstruction to the traffic flow. The policeman’s behavior was so disruptive that he resisted attempts to be removed from the highway.
