Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu Launches Apps to Accelerate Digitalisation System
Guwahati: Assam Government is attempting to speed up the digitalization of the system by launching three web-based applications on Sunday.
Three apps were launched by Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu at the Samagra Shiksha Office in Kahilipara today.
The names of the three web-based applications are:
- Stock Monitoring System
- ICT Monitoring System
- Bill Tracking System
Pegu stated that the state government is striving to speed up the digitization processes while launching the three apps.
Speaking on the acceleration of digitalization system, he said, “All government schools will be distributed one Tablet each ahead of the new academic year.”
“Earlier, the records of distribution of various teaching materials were kept on pen and paper. However, from now onwards the app will help to monitor and keep records of the teaching items distributed across all school. This will help the materials to reach schools on time,” Pegu explained.
The Education Minister said that the government is working to increase transparency in how departments conduct their business.
The “Bill Tracking System” application will assist distributors and contractors in keeping track of their bills.
Pegu also mentioned the introduction of an application for private schools to apply for authorization to fulfil their requirements in accordance with established norms and regulations.
Pegu asked the private schools to initiate admissions of Class 11, 12 students.
He added that the Shiksha Setu programme would track both instructor and student attendance.
He stated on Gunotsav that the results would be released by the end of March.
