Guwahati, 29th May: The onset of the rainy season has brought alarming news from the Baraigram area of Karimganj, where several embankments, including one along the Longai River in Isaganj village, have suffered significant damage.

The potential consequences are dire, with nearly two hundred villages facing the threat of inundation if the embankment fully gives way.
