Assam Embraces Wellness: CM Sarma Leads Thousands in Yoga Day Celebrations at Salbari
In a vibrant display of unity and a shared commitment to well-being, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma spearheaded the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations at Salbari in Baksa district on June 21st. The event drew an impressive gathering of over 2,000 individuals, a diverse tapestry of citizens from all walks of life, converging to embrace the ancient practice.
The Chief Minister was joined by a distinguished cohort of regional leaders, including Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro, along with Ministers Jayanta Malla Baruah and Urkhao Gwra Brahma.
Local MLA Phanidhar Talukdar also graced the occasion, as did several executive members and councilors of the BTR, collectively reinforcing the region’s dedication to fostering health and mindfulness. The heart of the program lay in the collective yoga sessions, meticulously designed to encourage holistic well-being and disseminate awareness about the profound benefits of incorporating yoga into daily life. Following the invigorating sessions, Chief Minister Sarma addressed the media, underscoring the escalating significance of yoga in cultivating robust physical and mental health, with a particular emphasis on its positive impact on the youth.
