Guwahati, 21st December: The anti-corruption department took stringent action against corruption, arresting an Enforcement Checker in Karimganj district. Abu Saleh Md Zakaria, employed as an Enforcement Checker in DTO, Karimganj, was apprehended on December 20 while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
The arrest revealed his involvement in a conspiracy with Sahab Uddin Tapadar, I/C DTO, Karimganj, who was also apprehended in the same trap for allowing free movement of the complainant’s vehicles.
The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption’s official handle shared information about the arrest, highlighting efforts to combat corruption and hold individuals engaged in corrupt activities accountable.
