Guwahati, 10th November: A team of police, led by Officer-in-Charge Kapil Chandra Das from Dhubri College Nagar police station, executed a raid based on a tip-off.
They apprehended two counterfeit currency smugglers near the Phulbari bridge in Dhubri.
The police seized fake notes amounting to Rs 99,000, all in Rs 500 denominations.
The arrested individuals identified as Hazrat Ali and Golap Ali, have been taken to the Dhubri police station for interrogation.
