Assam: Fake Currency Printing Machine Seized, 1 Arrested In Joint Op
Guwahati: Assam Police had conducted raids against fake currency ring operations in Assam’s Nagaon and Hojai districts , officials reported on Friday.
According to reports, Police units from the Kathiatali and Haibargaon police stations worked together to carry out an operation.
During the raid, authorities detained one guy and seized a machine that printed counterfeit money.
The operation was conducted in Dabaka in the Hojai district of Assam. Abdul Jalil was apprehended by police in connection with the bust.
A police squad from Nagaon recently conducted searches in Guwahati’s Hatigaon area to shatter a significant base in an effort to crack down on the state’s fake currency rackets.
During the significant operation carried out by Nagaon Police on September 6, printing equipment and fake currency notes totaling about Rs 20 lakhs were seized.
Moreover, authorities apprehended four individuals including a women in connection with the operation for fake currency rackets.
