Assam: Fatal Head-On Collision in Nagaon District Claims Life of Artiga Driver
Guwahati, 6th May: A tragic road accident occurred in Sarubhagia of Jakhalabandha, under the jurisdiction of Nagaon district, involving a head-on collision between a gas-laden tanker and an Artiga vehicle. The collision resulted in the untimely death of the Artiga vehicle’s driver, identified as Avijit Saikia from Jorhat.
The fatal incident unfolded when the Artiga vehicle, bearing registration number AS 03 AK 5253, was navigating through Jakhalabanda town. In a catastrophic turn of events, it collided head-on with a gas-filled tanker, numbered AS 25 CC 9324, traveling from the opposite direction in Sarubhagia.
Tragically, Avijit Saikia, the driver of the Artiga vehicle, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. Additionally, two other individuals sustained injuries in the collision, with one woman reported to be in critical condition.
Eyewitnesses to the harrowing incident provided accounts of the collision, shedding light on the severity of the impact and the immediate aftermath.
