Guwahati, 23rd December: A major fire broke out at a godown in Assam’s Sonari on December 23.
The incident took place at Sapekhati in Charaideo.
As per sources, the fire broke at the tent house godown in the residence of a tenant businessman named Dandeshwar Phukan.
Following the incident, the sound system along with the clothes of the tent house was gutted in the fire.
Soon after the fire, the fire brigade reached the spot and managed to douse the fire.
Though the fire was triggered at broad-day-light, but cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
It is learnt that goods worth more than Rs 15 lakh were gutted in the fire.
