Assam: Firing Incident in Tinsukia Shakes Locals

Guwahati, 6th September: A shocking incident in Tinsukia has left the community in shock after a local businessman, identified as Titu Bajaria, allegedly took his own life by shooting himself with a pistol on Tuesday night.

The distressing event unfolded at the Network counter near the Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) building, situated in the AT Road locality of Tinsukia town. According to eyewitnesses, the tragic incident occurred shortly after the departure of the Itanagar-bound night super bus from the Network counter.

Malay Dutta, a person connected to the incident, reportedly arrived on a motorbike at the scene. Following his departure, witnesses heard a startling sound, leading them to investigate. They discovered Titu Bajaria in an unconscious state with signs of bloodshed inside the room.

Local residents quickly informed Titu’s family members about the distressing situation.

It has also come to light that the pistol used by Titu belonged to Malay Dutta. While the exact circumstances leading to this tragic incident are yet to be determined, local authorities have initiated an investigation. Malay Dutta has been detained for further questioning as part of the ongoing inquiry. The community remains deeply saddened by this unfortunate event.
