In response to the damaged embankment in Bankuwal and Golaghat, Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika announced that construction using advanced technologies will commence within three days. The expedited project aims for completion within 15 days to mitigate further risks.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has assured continuous monitoring of the flood situation, particularly in Dibrugarh, where thirteen fishermen have been stranded on a riverine islet in the Brahmaputra River since June 28.

Meanwhile, the rising water levels of the River Dhanashree and Brahmaputra have critically inundated Orang National Park, submerging approximately 70 percent of its area. Authorities are actively managing the situation to safeguard wildlife and manage the environmental impact caused by the flooding.
