Assam: Former High School Principal Held for Embezzlement of Funds

Guwahati: A former principal of the Samaguri Higher Secondary School in Assam’s Nagaon district has been arrested on suspicion of embezzling money.

The arrested principal has been identified as Gopal Chandra Bora.

Bora has reportedly been detained for allegedly embezzling more than Rs 4,64,000 from the institution.

The school’s current principal, Pranab Jyoti Goswami, filed a report at the Samaguri Police Station based on the accusations made by the management committee last year.

Gopal Chandra Bora was taken into custody by the police on Saturday night as a result of a Section 409 of the CrPC case with the case number 174/21.
