Guwahati: A fraudster has been apprehended for allegedly defrauding individuals under the pretence of offering employment in the Nalbari district of Assam.
The Nalbari and Dhubri Police arrested the fraudster after search operations on Saturday.
The fraudster has been identified as Indrajit Das who was taken into custody in Bornodir.
Das is accused of defrauding people by making loans and employment-related promises.
The officers spent several hours searching his home as well. After the raids, one motorcycle and one luxurious car were found.
Meantime, Das is being interrogated by the police.
