Assam gangrape case: 2 arrested, locals demand justice
Guwahati, 21st September: Fuzail Ahmed and Israfil Hussain have been taken into custody in relation to a case of gang rape that occurred in Assam’s Dhing.
They are being questioned at the police station in Dhing right now.
The community is deeply outraged by the incident. To ensure the victim receives justice, authorities are guaranteeing a comprehensive probe.
It should be noted that, in the same month as the horrifying gangrape of a young girl in Dhing, Assam, there was another comparable occurrence in which two bike-borne miscreants abducted and sexually assaulted a young girl from the same location.
On September 19, while the girl and her younger brother were walking home from the river bank, two teenagers, Fujail Ahmed and Ishrafil Hussain, are accused of sexually assaulting the child.
After the miscreants took the young girl away by force, the victim’s brother told the townspeople about what had happened.
Locals soon managed to save the young girl from a location that her brother had indicated as they raced to find out what had happened.
An inquiry is under progress and a formal complaint has been filed against the offenders.
