Guwahati, 27th March: Gaurav Gogoi, the Lok Sabha candidate for the Jorhat constituency representing the Indian National Congress (INC), officially unveiled his campaign anthem titled “Axomor Gaurav” today. The anthem, released on YouTube, aims to encapsulate the hopes and aspirations of Assam’s youth, women, marginalized communities, and farmers.
Featuring the introductory line “Axom eibar jilikibo xantir dikhe, gonotontro roikhya koribo a Gaurav Gogoi a,” which translates to “Assam will glorify this time towards peace, democracy will be protected by Gaurav Gogoi,” the anthem emphasizes Gaurav Gogoi’s commitment to fostering peace and safeguarding democracy in the region.
With lyrics that promise to usher in peace and uphold democratic values, the anthem serves as a rallying call for support towards Gaurav Gogoi’s candidacy for the Jorhat Constituency under the INC banner.
Gaurav Gogoi, the son of former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and the incumbent MP from Kaliabor, filed his nomination on Tuesday, gearing up for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
