Assam: GD Goenka Public School Celebrates Grandparents Day to Strengthen Family Bonds

Guwahati, September 6, 2024 — GD Goenka Public School in Assam’s North Lakhimpur have marked a special celebration of Grandparents Day, emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong intergenerational bonds. The event was held on the school premises and aimed at fostering greater cooperation and respect between children and their grandparents.

During the event, Principal Director Syeda Farzana Parveen addressed the gathering, stating, “Children are the future of the society, the ones who will lead the nation. We should not forget our roots. Grandparents are the family’s strongest foundation, and they should never be neglected.”

The celebration included performances such as songs, dances, and drama, followed by a cooking competition that brought joy to the grandparents in attendance.
