Guwahati, 29th August: In a notable anti-drug crackdown on Wednesday night, Golokganj police in Dhubri detained Hafijul Hoque from Koimari Part III village. Hoque, son of Ajahar Ali Sheikh, was caught with a suspected illegal drug during a raid led by Sub-Inspector Sanjoy Boro.
Acting on reliable intelligence, the police targeted PED Road in Koimari Part I near the Chotoguma Watch Post. During the raid, authorities discovered approximately 14.34 grams of a substance believed to be Brown Sugar inside a soapbox. They also confiscated Hoque’s motorcycle, registered AS-17L-4167.
The seizure was carried out in the presence of local witnesses to ensure legal compliance and evidence integrity. The police have assured that they will uphold due process throughout the investigation.
