Assam Government Announces Recruitment for 4,500 Teaching Positions

Assam: The Assam government has unveiled a significant recruitment initiative aimed at filling 4,500 Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) teaching positions across the state.

The recruitment process is set to begin on February 15, 2025, with applications open until March 31, 2025, through the Directorate of Elementary Education’s official website, dee.assam.gov.in.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the announcement on X, expressing his enthusiasm for the new opportunity for aspiring educators. “Good news for aspiring educators of Assam!” Sarma wrote. “To fulfill our mission of 1.5 lakh Govt jobs by 2026, we will soon open recruitment for 4,500 posts of LP & UP Teachers in the State.”

This recruitment drive is part of the state’s broader effort to create one lakh government jobs by 2026. It specifically focuses on enhancing the teaching workforce in Assam’s primary schools, addressing critical staffing needs in the education sector.
