Assam Government Approves Land for NIELIT University in Record Time
Assam: The Assam Government has demonstrated remarkable efficiency in approving land allocation for the establishment of NIELIT University. In a meeting with the Director of NIELIT on the evening of January 3, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma swiftly addressed the land requirement.
The Director, after inspecting a proposed location in Jagiroad, confirmed its suitability within a matter of hours. Chief Minister Sarma, emphasizing the government’s commitment to accelerating development, highlighted this rapid decision-making as a testament to India’s focus on progress.
The Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, is scheduled to virtually inaugurate NIELIT University and subsequently visit the Tata Semiconductor factory in Jagiroad.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Sarma announced plans for an international convention center and a state guest house to be constructed in front of the Guwahati High Court, with completion expected by the end of 2025.
