Assam Government Honours Dhubri Journalists with Gift of Goodwill
Assam: A special event was held at the Circuit House conference hall in Dhubri on Monday, where 34 government-recognized journalists from the district were presented with a Gift of Goodwill from Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The initiative, aimed at acknowledging the contributions of journalists, was organized by the Public Relations Department.
Dhubri District Commissioner Dibakar Nath, who attended as the Chief Guest, handed over the goodwill gifts to journalists from Agamoni, Golakganj, Tamarhat, and Dhubri Sadar town. The event saw enthusiastic participation from media professionals, reflecting the strong relationship between the state government and the press.
Snigdha Rani Das, the Information and Public Relations Officer of Dhubri, was also present at the function. Attendees expressed their gratitude for the Chief Minister’s gesture, emphasizing its significance in recognizing and supporting journalists.
This initiative is part of the Assam government’s ongoing efforts to foster stronger ties with the media, acknowledging their vital role in public awareness and governance.
