Assam Government to Distribute 514 Appointment Letters on September 3
Assam, 2nd September: The Assam government has announced that it will distribute appointment letters to 514 candidates on September 3. This move comes as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) promise to provide one lakh jobs in the state government.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will personally hand out the appointment letters to candidates who achieved the same cut-off in the direct recruitment examination conducted for Grade III and Grade IV positions in 2022. While some candidates received their appointment letters on May 25, 2023, in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, a few positions remained vacant as selected candidates did not join. The state government will now fill these vacant positions based on the merit lists prepared by the recruitment commission.
Upon receiving their appointment letters, the selected candidates will join 34 different departments within the state government.
