Assam Government to Provide Financial Aid to Self Help Groups (SHGs): Pijush Hazarika
Guwahati, 27th November: Assam’s Minister Pijush Hazarika announced a financial aid extension of Rs 1.10 lakh to all Self Help Groups (SHGs).
Speaking at a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rally in Kalingduar, Hazarika emphasized the BJP’s strengthened organization in BTR and increased support from the people.
He expressed gratitude for the attendance of 7,000 to 8,000 people at the rally, showcasing their love for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, and the BJP.
Hazarika highlighted promises fulfilled by the BJP government, including increased funds for the Orunodoi scheme, expanding its coverage to 6 lakh more women.
He reiterated the commitment to creating an environment for producing 3,000 doctors annually and highlighted the introduction of the MSP system for Assam’s farmers. The minister emphasized flood control efforts, allocating Rs 18 crore for BTR and committing Rs 120 crore annually for flood control.
Notably, Hazarika announced financial grants of Rs 1,10,000 for each SHG, building on the BJP government’s support for women’s self-help groups. He urged support for the BJP in the upcoming elections to continue the development initiatives and reinstall Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister.
