Assam Governor Directs DCs and SPs to Implement Eight Welfare Schemes
Guwahati: Assam’s District Commissioners (DCs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been directed to ensure the swift and transparent implementation of eight schemes conceptualized by the Raj Bhavan, Guwahati.
During a video conference with officials, Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya emphasized the importance of their roles in executing these welfare initiatives for the benefit of the people. Sharing snapshots of the schemes via video, he urged officers to work with dedication and efficiency to ensure their success.
Key Schemes Launched by Raj Bhavan:
1. Governor Assam’s Pratibha Protsahan Yojana
2. Governor Assam’s Vishwakarma Samman
3. Governor Assam’s Award for Excellence
4. Governor Assam Kartavya Se Vikas Yojana
One of the core objectives of these schemes is to promote leadership and skill development among the youth. The governor assured that necessary logistical support and resources would be provided by the Raj Bhavan for effective implementation.
Acharya reiterated that transparency and efficiency in executing these schemes are crucial to ensuring that the benefits reach every section of society, particularly those in need.
