Assam Governor Releases Director Of Dr. B Borooah Cancer Institute’s Autobiography
Guwahati: Assam and Nagaland Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi released an autobiographical story titled “Silent Contemplation…Awakening the Inner Protagonist” on Monday at the Raj Bhavan in Guwahati in the presence of senior faculty members from the Dr. B Borooah Cancer Institute. The story follows the journey of a young boy to a budding doctor who later became the longest serving Director of a premier cancer institute in the country.
Principles and Practice of Oncology and Triple C in Cancer, both edited by Dr. Amal Chandra Kataki were the two publications that the governor had previously published.
Dr. Amal Chandra Kataki’s book details his battles to advance cancer treatment and elevate the Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute to lofty heights with cutting-edge technology and top-notch training for the nation’s future oncologists.
He has pieced together long-forgotten fragments and exposed his vision of cutting edge study, top-notch instruction, and sympathetic patient care. An great manager who has the ability to choose the best candidates for each position and then patiently groom them to develop a vibrant and energetic team to carry out his ideas and vision.
