Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a body of a government officer was found hanging from a tree at Kamrup rural district of Assam on Monday.
The incident was reported from Chaygaon area of the district.
The deceased has been identified as Hariman Baishya.
According to reports, Baishya was a block development officer at Chaygaon.
Reportedly, he was discovered hanging by a tree adjacent to his office.
Family members believe that Hariman couldn’t have taken such an extreme step, so they suspect that he was murdered.
After being informed, police officials reached the spot and recovered the body. Meanwhile, the body has been sent for post-mortem and an investigation has been initiated in this regard.
