Assam Govt Suspend Two ACS officers
Guwahati: Two Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers have been suspected by Assam Government due to their alleged involvement in extensive irregularities in appointment at Assam Fishery Development Corporation Limited.
The two suspended officials have identified as Anuradha Adhikari and Naren Chandra Basumatary.
The officers Anuradha Adhikari and Naren Chandra Basumatary were working for the AFDCL as managing directors at the time of the alleged violations.
According to the High Power Committee set up by the state government, ACS had engaged in extensive irregularities in regularising employees and appointing contractual employees in the Assam Fishery Director, AFDCL, according to a notification released by the Assam Government’s Personnel Department, Anuradha Adhikari.
Anuradha Adhikari, ACS, Joint Secretary to the Government of Assam, Border Protection, and in the Development Department, has already been the focus of a departmental process under the Assam Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules of 1964. Guwahati would continue to be her headquarters during the suspension.
The Assam Personnel Department also sent similar notices to Naren Chandra Basumatary.
