Assam: Guwahati Students Shine at National Environment Youth Parliament 2025 in Jaipur
Guwahati, Assam – Five students from Guwahati made a remarkable impact at the National Environment Youth Parliament (NEYP) 2025, held at the Vidhan Sabha in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on January 24-25.
Representing Assam, these young delegates actively contributed to discussions on pressing environmental challenges, showcasing the state’s commitment to sustainability.
The team included Rahul Rohan Paul and Arunima Dutta from Gauhati University, Kuhelika Saha from Cotton University, and Akshita Sharma and Elina Singha from B. Borooah College (affiliated with Gauhati University). Their participation highlighted Assam’s growing engagement in national-level environmental discourse.
Organized by Students for Development (SFD) in collaboration with Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi and other stakeholders, the event featured seminars, panel discussions, and policy debates.
Designed to cultivate leadership and decision-making skills, the forum encouraged youth involvement in environmental conservation efforts.
Assam’s presence was further strengthened by Raj Kamal Phukan and Kunal Agarwal from Dibrugarh University, who also participated in the discussions.
Their contributions underscored the dedication of Assam’s youth towards shaping effective environmental policies and sustainable solutions.
