Guwahati: A teacher in the Hailakandi district of Assam received suspension orders on Friday after it was claimed that he had more property than his income justified.
The teacher who was suspended was identified as Ashish Das. He was employed by 807 No Appin Requisition LPS as an assistant professor.
He has been accused of engaging in politics, running multiple businesses, and taking contractual jobs in addition to teaching.
Additionally, Ashish Das is alleged to have assets above his income.
It should be mentioned that during the Gunotsav, the accused Das met with the state’s education minister Ranoj Pegu and claimed to be speaking on behalf of MP Kripanath Mallah.
Meanwhile, the Hailakandi District Primary Education Officer imposed the suspension.
