Assam: Hailakandi Police Seize Burmese Supari Worth Rs 50 Lakh
Guwahati, 19th September: 180 sacks of Burmese Supari were seized as a result of an effective operation by the Hailakandi police in Assam, which involved a raid on the commodity.
The supari was traveling from Silchar to Kalain when the seizure happened. During the operation, Habibur Laskar, a truck driver, was taken into custody.
The seized supari is worth roughly Rs 50 lakh on the open market.
In relation to this incident, police authorities are still questioning suspects, underscoring their dedication to battling illicit activity in the area.
