Assam: Hair Regrowth Camp in Kokrajhar Abruptly Shut Down by Police

Kokrajhar: A much-anticipated hair regrowth awareness camp, spearheaded by Pankaj Pathak and drawing a sizeable crowd concerned with baldness, was today abruptly halted by police authorities in Kokrajhar. The event, being held at the premises of the Kokrajhar District Sports Association, came to an unexpected close midway through the proceedings after law enforcement intervened, citing a distinct lack of proper administrative permission.

The camp had seen numerous individuals from across the region gather, all eager to explore guidance and potential treatment options for hair loss. However, the sudden police action left many attendees feeling short-changed and visibly disappointed.

Police sources, when queried, confirmed that the organisers had failed to secure the necessary official clearances required to conduct such a public programme, which necessitated their immediate intervention to suspend the event.

Following the disruption, Pankaj Pathak was reportedly seen leaving Kokrajhar without engaging with the media or releasing any official statement. His response to the incident remains awaited.

Several participants at the camp expressed their strong disapproval of both the timing and the manner of the police intervention, voicing frustration over the perceived lack of clarity and prior communication. Some attendees passionately argued that health-related initiatives, particularly those addressing often-overlooked concerns like hair loss, ought to be supported rather than summarily dismissed by authorities.

As of now, there has been no official word from the authorities regarding potential legal repercussions or if the event might be permitted to be rescheduled once the proper permissions are obtained.
