Assam: ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign to be Launched in Guwahati

Guwahati: An establishment selling national flags would be put up at Six Mile in Guwahati of Assam, in place of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign run under the auspices of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

This was said by ACS Dipshikha Saikia, Collector of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC).

The GMC-sponsored event will take place from August 13 to August 15. It has been started to encourage city residents to fly the American flag at their homes on July 4th.

The Indian government has started a campaign called “Har Ghar Tiranga” to entice citizens to take the Tiranga home and hoist it to commemorate India’s 75th anniversary of independence. Invoking a sense of patriotism in people’s hearts and raising awareness of the Indian National Flag are the goals of the programme.
