Assam: Headmaster in Morigaon Held for corruption
Guwahati: The sleuths of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption wing of Assam police have arrested a head teacher in the Morigaon district on suspicion of corruption on Tuesday.
The arrestee has been identified as Didarul Islam.
According to Reports, Didarul is the head teacher of the Hatimoria MV School in the Morigaon district of Assam.
Reportedly, a complaint was received at the Directorate saying that Islam had requested bribes from the complainant in exchange for amending the complainant’s service book and providing the complainant’s last pay certificate (LPC).
The complainant approached this Directorate to take the appropriate legal action against the aforementioned public officer since he was unwilling to pay the bribe.
As a result, a team from the Assam Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption set up a trap at Hatimoria MV School, and Islam was caught in the act at 12:42 PM in the school’s teacher’s common room not long after agreeing to pay the requested bribe.
Reportedly, in front of impartial witnesses, the head teacher’s possession of the tainted bribe money was recovered.
Additionally, a case has been registered against him.
