Assam Healthcare Infrastructure Gets Boost with Rs 121.51 Crore Investment From Central Govt

National Desk, 15th October: In a significant development for Assam’s healthcare infrastructure, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is poised to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate a series of health infrastructure projects valued at Rs 121.51 crore. These projects, funded under PM-ABHIM, XV-FC Health Grants, and NHM, mark a substantial investment in the state’s healthcare sector.

The inauguration ceremony, scheduled for 2 pm on October 16, will see the participation of Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. These projects are strategically designed to bolster healthcare facilities across Assam, with a particular focus on enhancing services in remote areas.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his appreciation for the Health Minister’s commitment to improving healthcare in Assam, citing the transformative change led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. These projects signify an important step in ensuring that enhanced healthcare services reach the farthest corners of the state.
