Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police seized a huge quantity of Heroin and arrested two suspected drug peddlers in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district.
A team from the Dillai Police Station intercepted a car and recovered an amount of total 152 soap boxes containing 1.995 kg suspected Heroin and arrested two persons in the connection.
The arrestees were identified as Lanamai Stephen and Roko Baip. Both are the residents of Manipur.
The Police officials informed that the seized Heroin is worth around 14 crores in the international market.
It may be mentioned that a legal action has been initiated into the matter and further investigation is underway.
In a big and smart op, @assampolice intercepted a car at 12 Mile under Dillai PS and recovered 152 soap boxes containing 1.995 kg suspected Heroin. Two persons of 2 neighbouring states apprehended. Further investigation is on.
