Assam: High-Speed Scooter Crash Claims Life in Nagaon
NAGAON: A devastating scooter accident on Monday night in the Chikni Tea Estate area under the Nisha Jakhlabandha Police Outpost has left one man dead and another critically injured. The incident, which unfolded on the estate’s road, saw a high-speed two-wheeler lose control and collide with a roadside electric transformer pole.
According to police officials, the scooter, with registration number AS 12 W 5121, was being driven at a perilous speed when the rider lost control. The powerful impact of the collision was fatal for Brijen Tati (32), a resident of Chikni Tea Estate, who died on the spot. The other person on the scooter, identified as Sunil Tati (30), sustained grievous injuries.
Locals from the tea garden were the first responders, rushing to the scene upon hearing the crash. They immediately transported both men to the Jakhlabandha Civil Hospital. At the hospital, doctors pronounced Brijen Tati dead on arrival, while Sunil Tati was admitted in critical condition and is currently undergoing treatment. Authorities from the Nisha Jakhlabandha Police Outpost have initiated an investigation into the cause of the fatal crash.
