Guwahati: A body of a home guard was discovered under mysterious circumstances at Duliajan in Dibrugarh district of Assam.
The deceased have been identified as Pulin Gogoi. Pulin was an employee of Duliajan Oil market and a resident of Tingkhang.
According to reports, the body of the deceased was first spotted by the local people who later informed the police about the incident.
After the police arrived at the spot, the body was sent for post-mortem report to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh.
The reason behind the death of the home guard is still not known. However, an investigation into the incident has been launched by the police.
However, the Dibrugarh home Guard Association has demanded compensation to Pulin’s family.
The president of the Goalpara Home Guard Association was discovered dead in the BOC of the city’s Home Guard office last month.
The deceased was identified as Probhat Das.
Reportedly, the body was discovered with a chip and the body was recovered in the presence of the magistrate. The body was then taken for a post-mortem.
