Assam HS Result 2022: Assam board declares Class 12 results
Guwahati: The higher secondary (HS) results have been declared by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) at 9 AM on Monday.
The results for the three streams- Science, Arts and Commerce has been announced today.
As per the data of AHSEC, the topper in the science stream with 491 marks out of 500 is Dhritiraj Bastav Kalita of Deomornoi HS School in Darrang district.

The second position was secured by Alangkrita Gautam Baruah of Salt Brook Academy in Dibrugarh, who got 488 out of 500 marks, while the third position was secured by Surajit Sutradhar of Concept Senior Secondary School in Nagaon who got 486 marks out of 500.
In the commerce stream, the highest marks were secured by Sagar Agarwal of Vivekananda Senior Secondary School in Cachar who got 482 out of 500 marks.

The second spot was secured by Manosh Jyoti Borthakur of Crescent Academy in Jorhat, who got 476 out of 500 marks, while the third position was secured by Nikhil Gupta of RD Senior Secondary School in Tinsukia who got 474 marks out of 500.
In the arts stream, Sadhana Devi of Kamrup Girls’ Senior Secondary School in Kamrup (rural) and Cherry Gohain of Womens College in Tinsukia secured the top position with 487 marks obtained out of 500.

The second spot was secured by Bidisha Misra of Sankardev Academy in Nalbari, who got 486 out of 500 marks, while the third position was secured by Sudipta Debnath of Sankardev Senior Secondary School in Hojai who got 483 marks out of 500 and Niloy Kurmi of Ramanujan Senior Secondary School in Nagaon, who got 483 out of 500.

It may be noted that the arts stream had a total of 1,56,107 students among whom 29,487 secured first division, 52,944 secured second division, and 47,893 secured third division. The pass percentage was recorded at 83.48 per cent.
Similarly, out of 15,199 students who took the exam in the commerce stream, 5018 secured first division, 5186 secured second division, and 3060 secured third division. The pass percentage stood at 87.27 per cent.
As many as 33,534 students from the science stream took the exams of whom 20,171 secured first division, 9,833 secured second division, and 911 secured third division. The pass percentage was recorded at 92.19 per cent.
Meanwhile, in the district-wise report of students released by the AHSEC, in the science stream, Baksa district performed the best, with a pass percentage of 98.27 per cent. Nalbari came in second with a pass percentage of 97.99 per cent, while Sivasagar district secured a pass percentage of 97.83 per cent. The pass percentage in the Kamrup (metro) district in the stream stood at 92.62 per cent.
In addition, in the commerce stream, Majuli district performed the best securing a pass percentage of 100 per cent. In second stood South Salmara with 96.77 per cent of students passing, while Baksa district came in third with a pass percentage of 96.53 per cent. The Kamrup (metro) district’s pass percentage was recorded at 89.31 per cent.
Similarly, Dhemaji achieved the highest pass rate of 94.67% in the arts stream, followed by Nalbari with a 93.54 percent score and Lakhimpur with a 92.99 percent score. The Kamrup (metro) pass rate was 81.52 percent.

INFORMATION FOR THE CANDIDATES / HEADS OF THE INSTITUTION
- After the declaration of Results, those Candidates whose results have been shown incomplete or withheld have to contact the Controller of Examinations to get the results declared. However, the candidates concerned will apply formally through the Heads (s) of their institute/Institution(s). The incomplete or withheld result will not be declared if not collected within 3(three) years from the date of declaration of the results.
- An eligible candidate shall be given only one chance to appear in the compartmental Examination to be held with the regular examination for the year immediately following the years in which the candidate failed. The subject in which the candidate is eligible for the Compartmental Examination will be shown in the Marks Sheet.
- Institutional Private (IP) candidates means –
- Those candidates who appeared H.S. Final Examination from an institution not recognized by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. or
- Those regular candidates who appeared HS Final Examination having attendance more than or equal to 60% and less than or equal to 74%.
- Non-Institutional Private (NIP) candidates means –
- Those candidates who appeared as Regular or IP in previous year Examination and were not successful and subsequently appeared as Private candidates. and / or
- Those candidates who appeared after obtaining due permission from the Council as Female Private, Teacher Private and Defence Personnel Private Category.
- Name (s) of the candidates securing Highest marks in different subjects are declared along with the results of Science, Arts and Commerce streams.
- Results will also be available on Council’s Website – www.ahsec.nic.in and other websites which already been published in media.
- Re-checking of Answer Scripts:
Re-checking shall consist of –:
- Re-totalling of marks awarded by the examiner.
- Assessment of answer(s) left out unevaluated by the examiner.
Candidates desiring Re-checking of answer scripts should submit applications through online mode.
Online: Applicants may visit website of AHSEC – www.ahsec.nic.in and click on the link “ Punorikshan : Online application processing system for rechecking of Answer Scripts” and follow the steps:
– THERE SHALL BE NO RE-CHECKING OF PRACTICAL PAPER(S).
– Re-checking shall be allowed maximum in 3(three) subjects
– Results of re-check /re-checking will be communicated to the Head(s) of the Institutions only and the candidates who apply for re-checking will collect their results from there.
- Pass Certificate Computerised Pass Certificates for pass candidates will be sent to the Examination Centre-in charge in due time.
