Assam HSLC 2025: Trio of Brilliance Secures Top Honors in HSLC 2025

The academic landscape of Assam witnessed the emergence of exceptional talent as the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) 2025 examination were unveiled. Demonstrating remarkable intellect and perseverance, three students achieved the pinnacle of success, each scoring remarkably close to a perfect score. Their achievements underscore the escalating standards of education within the state’s prominent schools.

Amishree Saikia, a student of Pragya Academy Senior Secondary School located in Jorhat, etched her name in the annals of academic excellence by securing the coveted first rank. Her outstanding performance yielded a score of 591 out of a total of 600 marks, translating to an impressive percentage of 98.50%.

Closely following her was Saptarswa Bardoloi from Assam Jatiya Vidyalaya, situated in Noonmati, Guwahati. His dedication and scholarly aptitude earned him the second rank with a commendable score of 590 marks, equivalent to 98.33%.

The third position was claimed by Anirban Borgohain, also representing Pragya Academy Senior Secondary School, Jorhat. His noteworthy achievement of 589 marks reflects a commendable percentage of 98.17%.

Assam’s Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu, conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the high-achieving students through a message shared on social media platforms. He lauded their unwavering commitment and extended his best wishes for their future academic pursuits, recognizing their significant accomplishment.

However, the overall pass percentage for this year stood at 63.98 per cent, indicating a notable decrease when compared to the previous year’s 75.7%. Out of the total of 4,29,449 students who had registered for the examination, 4,22,737 appeared, while 6,712 students were absent. Official records also indicated that the results of 22 candidates have been temporarily withheld, and disciplinary action led to the expulsion of 101 candidates during the examination process. The HSLC 2025 examinations were conducted across the state from February 15 to March 3, 2025, with practical assessments preceding them on January 21 and 22.
