Assam HSLC and Class 12 Board Exam Results to be Released Before Bohag Bihu, Assures AASU
Guwahati, 2nd February: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has affirmed that the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Class 10 final examinations, along with the Class 12 board exams, will be released before Bohag Bihu in April. The announcement follows a meeting between SEBA officials, representatives of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), and members of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU).
The discussions during the meeting primarily focused on ensuring a free and fair examination process to minimize the challenges faced by students. AASU emphasized the need for stringent security measures to prevent question paper leaks, referencing incidents from the previous academic year.
A total of 4,25,924 students, including 1,90,934 male candidates and 2,34,980 female candidates, will appear for the HSLC examinations across 913 centers in Assam. Simultaneously, 2,79,946 students will take the AHSEC Class 12 final examinations, distributed among Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams, conducted across 877 exam centers.
In response to the concerns raised by AASU, SEBA assured representatives that robust security measures would be implemented to prevent any recurrence of question paper leaks. The results of both the HSLC and Class 12 board exams are expected to be declared before the Bohag Bihu festival in April, providing timely outcomes for the students.
