Guwahati: Almost 68 kg of illegal ganja has been seized and three people have been arrested in a large operation conducted by the Mikirbheta Police in the Morigaon district of Assam on Sunday.
The search was carried out under the supervision of Mikirbheta Police Station officer-in-charge Utpal Das.
The ganja was discovered in a van hauling goods from Morigaon to Nagaon when it was stopped. The vehicle bears registration number AS25DC3025.
The arrested persons have been identified as Ashique Ali, Sahed Ali and Suruj Ali.
A case has been filed and the arrested individuals are currently being questioned by police.
