Assam: Human trafficking busted, 10 rescued

Guwahati: Assam police has busted a human trafficking racket on Saturday and rescued 10 persons including two minors in Kamrup (Rural) district.

Three persons was arrested in connection with the racket.

Based on the special inputs, a raid was conducted in a residence under Teteliguri region near Rangia Railway Station.

While interrogating the accused it was revealed that three persons including two boys and a girl were running a suspected human trafficking network.

According to the reports, the victims consist of two ladies and a number of minors hailing from different parts of Assam.

They were lured by the human trafficking gang with promise of jobs in private factories in new Delhi.

Meanwhile, a PAN card, eight mobile phones and one motorcycle without a registration number was also recovered.

It may be mentioned that the three suspected traffickers have been taken into custody by the police and the rescued people were handed to the police for the rehabilitation process.
