Guwahati, 26th September: The Income Tax department has conducted raids at the residence, office, and company associated with Basant Khetan, the owner of Assam Kaziranga University. A ten-member team from the Income Tax department carried out these raids at three different locations, including Guwahati, Joypur, and Jorhat.
Notably, Basant Khetan is currently reported to be in Italy, and the department has not disclosed any details or reasons for the raid to the media at this time.
