Assam: Important Guidelines for Tourists Planning to Visit Kaziranga National Park

Guwahati, 26th April: The Kaziranga National Park Authority has released crucial guidelines for tourists intending to visit the renowned wildlife sanctuary, marking the conclusion of the 2023/24 tourist year.

Effective May 1, the park will suspend elephant safaris for tourists due to inclement weather and road conditions. Similarly, jeep safaris will cease operation for tourists from May 16 onwards.

To experience the majestic beauty of Kaziranga National Park through an elephant safari, tourists are advised to plan their visit before April 30. Likewise, those opting for a jeep safari experience are urged to visit the park by May 15.

Following these dates, both elephant and jeep safaris will be suspended, ensuring the safety of visitors and preserving the natural habitat of the wildlife during adverse weather conditions.

Kaziranga National Park, celebrated for its rich biodiversity and conservation efforts, draws tourists from around the world. The park management emphasizes the importance of adhering to these guidelines and planning trips accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
