Boko, Kamrup: The 12th edition of the Jananeta Sabyasachi Rabha Memorial Football Tournament commenced in Boko on Tuesday, drawing together football aficionados and esteemed personalities.
Organized by the dynamic Kamrup District Rabha Students’ Union, the tournament features a thrilling lineup of 12 teams vying for the coveted championship title. The inaugural match, a high-octane clash between Chaygaon FC and Barachu FC, set the tone for the exciting competition ahead.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Aditya Rabha, an executive member of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council, who officially inaugurated the tournament. The event was further illuminated by the attendance of renowned personalities including international filmmaker Rima Das, Sumit Rabha (another executive member of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council), Arjun Chetri (general member), and Dr. Subhash Rabha, general secretary of the Rabha Students’ Union. Several other prominent figures from the region also graced the occasion, adding a touch of grandeur to the event.
