Assam: Joint Police Operation Leads to Arrest and Drug Seizure in Dhubri District

Guwahati, 5th June: In a coordinated effort, officers from Fakirganj Police Station and South Salmara Police Station, under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Naimuddin, successfully apprehended a suspect in connection with drug-related activities. The operation, driven by precise intelligence, led to the arrest of 26-year-old Habijur Islam, son of Kushan Ali, a resident of Naskara village under Fakirganj Police Station in Dhubri district.

During the operation, authorities recovered two soap cases containing suspected heroin, weighing a total of 23.16 grams, from Habijur Islam’s possession. The police ensured all legal protocols were meticulously followed at the Police Outpost during the process.

Habijur Islam is set to be transferred to judicial custody today, marking a significant step in the fight against drug trafficking in the region. The successful operation underscores the police department’s commitment to combating illegal drug activities and maintaining public safety.
