Assam: Karimganj Police Issues Lookout Notice in Rs 200 Crore Online Trading Scam

Guwahati, 11th September: The Karimganj Police has issued a lookout notice against Mohammed Shakir and Ifzal, who are accused of scamming the public through fraudulent online trading schemes. The duo is currently absconding, and the police have been conducting raids at their residences in Bakhrsal.

Shakir allegedly orchestrated scams worth approximately Rs 200 crore in Karimganj. A case has been registered at Sadar Police Station under various sections, including 120(B), 420, 409, 406, RW SEC 20(1), 20(2), and 20(3), as the investigation continues.

Additional Superintendent of Police Pratap Das stated that the police acted after receiving public complaints and discovered that more individuals are linked to the scam. A financial investigation is also underway, and authorities are taking appropriate legal action.
