Assam: Karimganj Police Seize Massive Drug Haul in Anti-Narcotics Operation
Guwahati, 16th September: In a major anti-narcotics operation, the Karimganj Police have seized a substantial quantity of illegal drugs and arrested three suspects. The operation, conducted in the Patel Nagar area, resulted in the interception of a vehicle transporting 120,000 YABA tablets and 537 grams of suspected heroin.
Acting on reliable intelligence, the police stopped and searched the vehicle, which was entering Assam from a neighboring state. The successful bust highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking in the region.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commended the police for their swift action. In a tweet, he praised the force, saying, “Well done @assampolice!”
