Assam: Kaziranga National Park Partially Reopens for Tourists from Today
Guwahati: Kaziranga National Park of Assam, a place of international significance officially welcomed visitors for the current season on Sunday.
The Kaziranga or Kohora and Western or Bagori ranges would be the only two ranges of the park that will be partially open for vehicle safaris, according to the forest authorities.
According to Ramesh Gogoi, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of the Eastern Assam Wildlife Division, the decision to partially open the park to visitors was made in light of the current road conditions as a result of bad weather.
Until further notice, Mr. Gogoi stated, tourists would be permitted to travel from Mihimukh via Daflang tower to Vaichamari Junction under Kaziranga Range and from Bimoli Tiniali via Donga tower under Western Range.
