Assam: Key Accused in Rangia Picnic Incident Arrested by State Police
Assam: In a major development, Rangiya police have arrested Himanshu Kakati and Amulya Lahkar, the primary suspects in the widely condemned Rangia picnic incident.
The arrests were made during a late-night operation in Dhekiajuli, marking a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation.
Inspector General of Assam Police (Law and Order), PK Bhuyan, briefed the media, confirming the arrests and providing updates on the case. Bhuyan noted that the suspects were apprehended following an intensive manhunt involving police teams working tirelessly around the clock.
Both individuals were taken into custody without resistance and are currently being interrogated to uncover further details.
