Assam: Kokrajhar Rallies in Solidarity with Persecuted Hindus in Bangladesh
KOKRAJHAR, Assam: A massive protest rally was held in Kokrajhar on Tuesday, organized by the Lok Jagaran Mancha Assam, to demand justice for Hindus facing persecution in neighboring Bangladesh.
Hundreds of protesters gathered at the D.N. Himatsingkha Playground, carrying placards and chanting slogans condemning the ongoing violence against the Hindu minority in Bangladesh. The rally, a sea of saffron, saw participants march towards the District Commissioner’s office, demanding immediate action from the Indian government.
The protesters submitted a memorandum to the District Commissioner, urging the Indian government to exert diplomatic pressure on Bangladesh to ensure the safety and well-being of its Hindu population. The memorandum highlighted the increasing incidents of violence, discrimination, and forced conversions faced by Hindus in Bangladesh.
Prominent Hindu leaders and activists, including members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and ISKON, participated in the rally. They expressed deep concern over the deteriorating situation of Hindus in Bangladesh and called for international intervention to address the issue.
The rally underscored the growing sentiment of solidarity among the Hindu community in India for their brethren in Bangladesh. As the situation in Bangladesh continues to worsen, such protests are likely to intensify, demanding global attention and action.
